1. General Provisions These Rules and Regulations, hereinafter referred to as the “Rules”, define the terms of participation in Urban Highline Festival 2026, hereinafter referred to as the “Festival”. The Festival is organized by Fundacja Firmament from Lublin, hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer”. The Festival takes place on 23th of July – 26 of July 2026 in the city of Lublin, Poland. The Festival is intended for adults. Participation of minors in selected activities or zones is only possible if expressly permitted by the Organizer under separate rules for a given zone or activity. The Festival consists of various zones, activities and accompanying events, including but not limited to: LCK Zone, Lubelskie Zone, Firmament Zone, City of Inspiration Zone, Speedline League, Slackline Zone and Highline Zone. Individual zones or activities may have additional rules, instructions or safety regulations. Participants are required to follow both these Rules and the rules applicable to each specific zone. Purchasing a Festival Pack, a Camper Pack or participating in the Festival means accepting these Rules. Participants are required to follow the instructions of the Organizer, persons authorized by the Organizer, security staff, the rope access / height safety company and persons responsible for safety in individual zones. Failure to comply with these Rules, safety instructions or the instructions of authorized persons may result in refusal of participation in selected activities, removal from the Festival area or cancellation of rights resulting from the purchased Festival Pack or Camper Pack, without the right to a refund. 2. Nature of the Festival and Risks Related to Participation The Festival promotes the culture and art of the city of Lublin, popularizes slackline and highline, promotes an active and healthy lifestyle, and showcases the tourist and landscape values of the Lublin region. Slackline means an activity involving walking on webbing suspended above the ground. Highline means an activity involving walking on webbing suspended at a significant height, in particular between buildings or other structures. The Participant acknowledges that participation in slackline, highline and other sports or height-related activities involves the risk of injury, harm to health and, in extreme cases, death. The Participant takes part in Festival activities voluntarily, consciously and at their own risk, subject to mandatory provisions of applicable law. The Participant declares that their health condition allows them to participate in the activities they intend to take part in. In case of any doubts, the Participant should consult a doctor before participating. The Organizer or persons responsible for safety may refuse to allow the Participant to take part in a given activity if the Participant’s physical or mental condition, behavior, equipment or preparation may pose a risk to themselves, other participants, the audience, staff or Festival infrastructure. 3. Rules of Conduct at the Festival The Participant is required to behave in a safe, responsible and respectful manner. The Participant must not disturb other people’s participation in the Festival, in particular through aggressive, dangerous, offensive, excessively loud or persistently disruptive behavior. The following are prohibited within the Festival area: consuming alcohol outside places expressly designated for this purpose, if such places have been designated; participating in sports or height-related activities under the influence of alcohol, drugs or substances affecting the ability to assess risk; bringing, possessing or using drugs or substances prohibited by law; damaging property, infrastructure, equipment, facades, building elements, greenery or other elements of the area; littering the Festival area; using open fire, unless expressly permitted by the Organizer in a designated area; organizing unauthorized activities, shows, workshops, promotional campaigns or events; bringing unauthorized persons into technical, sports, height-related, organizational or other restricted-access zones; blocking corridors, passages, evacuation routes, entrances, exits or communication routes; engaging in actions that may endanger the safety of the Participant or others. A Participant who is under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other substances affecting risk assessment will not be allowed to use the lines and may be removed from the Festival area without the right to a refund. The Participant is responsible for persons under their care or invited by them to participate in activities, if the Organizer has allowed such participation. 4. Highline Zone and Rules for Using the Lines Activities in the Highline Zone take place only on specially prepared and secured lines, under the supervision of persons designated by the Organizer or the height safety company. Access to highline lines is only possible with the consent of an authorized person and after meeting the safety requirements specified in these Rules, the rules of the given zone or the instructions provided on site. The Participant may enter a highline line only in the presence of an authorized person from the height safety company or a person designated by the Organizer. Before entering the line, the Participant is required to undergo an equipment check and a check of the connection between the harness and the safety leash. The Participant may perform the standing-up maneuver on the line only in the designated area, in particular behind the colored marker indicating the safe zone. While walking on the line, the Participant must not touch building facades or other infrastructure elements, unless an authorized person expressly allows it for safety reasons. Returning to the line after a fall may only be done using the safety leash. The Participant is expected to know the basic techniques of safely returning to the line before entering it. The Participant is required to inform authorized persons in advance of any intention to perform non-standard maneuvers, tricks or activities that may affect the safety of the Participant or others. The Organizer or authorized persons may introduce time limits for staying on a line, an entry queue, a reservation system or other organizational rules. The Participant is required to comply with them. The number of available slots on the lines is limited. Purchasing a Festival Pack does not guarantee access to every line or the possibility of participating in every activity at any chosen time. The order of access to the lines is determined by the rules announced by the Organizer, in particular the order of registration in the app, the order of arrival at the station or other rules communicated when collecting the festival wristband, in the WhatsApp group, on social media or at the registration point. An exception to the harness and leash rules may apply to the Airline, meaning a line suspended above a safety net, if the Organizer allows it to be used without a harness. 5. Participant’s Equipment Access to all lines, except for the Airline or other lines expressly indicated by the Organizer, is only possible if the Participant has their own functional climbing harness compliant with applicable safety standards. The harness must have the relevant certifications and markings, in particular CE marking for personal protective equipment, UIAA certification, manufacturer’s name, production date and serial number, where such markings are required for the given equipment. The Participant’s equipment must be in good technical condition, free from visible damage, excessive wear or other features that may affect safety. Equipment whose expiry date or permitted period of use has passed may not be used during the Festival. The Participant is fully responsible for selecting, maintaining and ensuring the technical condition and safety compliance of their own equipment. The Organizer or an authorized person has the right to randomly inspect the Participant’s equipment. The Organizer or an authorized person may refuse to allow the Participant onto the line if the Participant’s equipment does not meet technical requirements, raises safety concerns or has not been used correctly. Before entering a highline line, the Participant is required to empty all pockets and secure all items that could fall from height. Entering the line with unsecured items is prohibited. Cameras, phones or other accessories may only be used if they have their own fall protection, in particular a leash. A Rollex, HangOver or similar device may only be used if it is permanently attached to the harness with a leash or other appropriate safety attachment. Using a Rollex, HangOver or similar device without proper safety attachment is prohibited and may result in the Participant being removed from the Festival without the right to a refund. 6. Special Rules for Selected Lines On the Church Line, clothing covering the shoulders and shorts reaching at least mid-thigh are required. On the Church Line, walking topless or wearing dresses without leggings or shorts underneath is not allowed. The Organizer may introduce additional requirements concerning clothing, behavior, entry method or use of selected lines if this results from safety requirements, the nature of the location, arrangements with property owners or organizational reasons. 7. Insurance and Medical Assistance The Participant is required to have valid accident insurance and health insurance covering the duration of the Festival. The Participant arranges or purchases insurance on their own. The Organizer is not responsible for the Participant’s lack of insurance or for the scope of coverage under the policy chosen by the Participant. The Organizer may randomly check whether Participants have insurance. Lack of valid insurance may result in refusal of participation in selected Festival activities, in particular slackline and highline activities. In the event of injury, accident, deterioration of health or need for medical assistance, the Participant is required to immediately inform the Organizer, authorized persons from the height safety company, security staff or Festival staff. If the Participant notices a dangerous situation on a line or in another Festival zone, they are required to immediately inform the persons responsible for safety. Conducting a rescue operation on the lines independently is prohibited, unless an authorized person expressly asks the Participant for help. 8. Liability for Damage The Participant is responsible for their own actions and omissions within the Festival area. The Participant is responsible for damage caused by their fault, in particular damage to equipment, facilities, rooms, facades, building elements, Festival infrastructure or third-party property. In the event of damage, the Organizer may seek reimbursement of repair costs, compensation or other claims from the Participant under applicable law. The Organizer is not responsible for items lost, damaged, stolen or left unattended by Participants, unless mandatory provisions of law state otherwise. The Organizer is not responsible for accidents or damage caused by Participants, third parties or by failure to comply with these Rules, safety instructions or the instructions of authorized persons. 9. Festival Pack, Wristbands and Participant Identification The purchased Festival Pack is exchanged for a festival wristband worn on the wrist. The festival wristband is personal and assigned to the Participant. It may not be transferred, sold, resold, lent or made available to another person without the Organizer’s consent. The festival wristband must be worn throughout the Festival and presented when entering the Festival area, entering selected zones and at every request of the Organizer, security staff, the height safety company or authorized persons. Removing, damaging, transferring or counterfeiting the wristband may result in the loss of the right to participate in the Festival without the right to a refund. The Festival Pack is personal. It may not be sold, resold, gifted or transferred to another person without the Organizer’s prior consent. The Organizer may require the Participant to present an identity document to verify their data, age or rights resulting from the purchased Festival Pack. 10. Camper Pack and Camper Zone The Camper Pack entitles the Participant to use the designated camper zone under the rules specified by the Organizer. The Camper Pack is assigned to a specific vehicle and its license plate number, after prior confirmation by e-mail or in another manner indicated by the Organizer. The purchased Camper Pack is exchanged for a vehicle pass with the assigned license plate number. The vehicle pass must be placed in a visible location behind the front windshield of the vehicle and presented at every request of the Organizer, security staff or authorized persons. Entering the camper zone without a valid vehicle pass or with a pass assigned to another vehicle may result in refusal of entry or removal of the vehicle from the zone. The Camper Pack may not be sold, resold, gifted or transferred to another vehicle without the Organizer’s prior consent. Changing the license plate number assigned to the Camper Pack requires prior contact with and approval from the Organizer. Participants using the camper zone are required to follow rules of order, safety, quiet hours, environmental protection and other rules announced by the Organizer. In the camper zone, it is prohibited to use open fire, litter, dispose of waste outside designated areas or behave in a way that may endanger the safety of others. The Organizer is not responsible for vehicles, vehicle equipment or items left in the camper zone, unless mandatory provisions of law state otherwise. 11. Program, Organizational Changes and Weather Conditions The Festival program, locations of individual activities and start times of events may change. The Organizer reserves the right to change the program, locations, schedule, access rules for zones, number of available slots, and to temporarily close selected lines or zones for organizational, technical or safety reasons. The Organizer may cancel, interrupt, postpone or limit selected activities, in particular due to weather conditions, strong wind, storms, precipitation, technical failures, decisions of persons responsible for safety, decisions of public authorities or other circumstances beyond the Organizer’s control. The final source of information about the current Festival program are Organizer announcements published at the registration point, on official Festival social media, in the official WhatsApp group or in other channels indicated by the Organizer. The Participant is required to regularly check Organizer announcements concerning the program, safety, organizational changes and rules for using individual zones. 12. Refunds and Withdrawal from Participation The rules for refunds of the Festival Pack and Camper Pack are determined by the Organizer. The Organizer allows the Festival Pack to be refunded within 14 days from the date of purchase, provided that the refund request is submitted no later than 14 days before the start of the Festival. A refund request must be submitted in the manner indicated by the Organizer, in particular by e-mail at: fundacjafirmament@gmail.com Refunds are made under the rules and within the time limit indicated by the Organizer, subject to any payment operator fees or other technical costs, if such costs were clearly communicated to the Participant in advance. Personal packs may not be independently resold or transferred to other persons. Any transfer of a pack to another person requires the Organizer’s prior consent. Removal of the Participant from the Festival due to violation of these Rules, safety instructions or the instructions of authorized persons does not entitle the Participant to a refund of the Festival Pack, Camper Pack or any other costs incurred by the Participant. 13. Image and Recording The Participant acknowledges that photos and video recordings documenting the Festival may be taken during the event. Materials containing the Participant’s image may be used by the Organizer for informational, promotional, documentation and archival purposes related to the Festival and the Organizer’s activities. The materials may be published in particular on the Festival or Organizer website, on social media, in press materials, promotional materials, event reports and materials concerning future editions of the Festival. The Participant acknowledges that their image may be captured as part of a larger whole, such as an audience, group of participants, landscape, festival zone or event report. Detailed information on the processing of personal data, including image, is provided in the Urban Highline Festival Privacy Policy. 14. Communication with Participants Purchasing a Festival Pack or Camper Pack means agreeing to receive organizational messages related to participation in the Festival. Organizational messages may concern in particular registration, payment, wristband collection, program, organizational changes, safety rules, slot reservations, festival zones, the Camper Pack and other information necessary for participation in the Festival. Organizational communication may take place via e-mail, SMS, WhatsApp, the festival app, social media or other channels indicated by the Organizer. Receiving marketing information concerning future events, offers or activities of the Organizer may require separate consent from the Participant, if required by applicable law. 15. Personal Data and Privacy Policy Matters related to the processing of Participants’ personal data are regulated by the Urban Highline Festival Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy forms an integral part of the rules of participation in the Festival. The Participant is required to read the Privacy Policy before participating in the Festival or purchasing a Festival Pack or Camper Pack. 16. Final Provisions The Organizer reserves the right to update these Rules if necessary for organizational, technical, safety or legal reasons. The current version of the Rules will be available through the channels indicated by the Organizer, in particular on the Festival website or at the registration point. Matters not regulated by these Rules are governed by applicable law. In case of doubts concerning the interpretation of these Rules, the Organizer makes the decision, subject to mandatory provisions of applicable law.
